Thinking about education from an ontological reality of the symbol through the categories of “being” and “being there” in Latin America philosophy

Abstract

Is it possible ontologically to think about education? Can the ontological category of “being” allow us to think of an educational human being? How can the ontological category of “being there” contextualize the educational reality in Latin America? These questions will guide an ontological reflection based on Latin-American philosophical categories “being” and “being there” for thinking about education. This reflection will propose an ontological presence of the symbol from the analogy and the educational experience, as a reality that opens to new experiences in teaching and learning.

Docente de Filosofía de la Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial y de la Universidad de las Américas. Docente de Ética de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Licenciado en Filosofía por la Universidad del Salvador de Buenos Aires. Magíster en Filosofía y Magíster en Tecnologías aplicadas a la Práctica y Gestión Docente, por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Realiza estudios de doctorado en la Universidad de Extremadura, España. Publicaciones en la Revista Sophia de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana y en la Revista Nuevo Pensamiento de la Facultad de Filosofía de la Universidad del Salvador de Argentina.

Mauro Rodrigo Avilés

Docente a tiempo completo de la Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial. Docente de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Tutor de Tesis de la Maestría en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil de la Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. Docente de las áreas de Ética, Filosofía y Ciencias Sociales. Publicaciones en la Revista Sophia de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana y en la Revista Eidos de la Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial.
